Trauma network

The Plexus Amsterdam practice is a member of the trauma network of VUmc. Dennis Rijnbeek and Wesley Pauw are physiotherapists in our practice who are specially trained for this and who attend the meeting in the hospital twice a year.

We treat patients who have been injured in an accident. This may involve sprains or simple fractures, but also open fractures, vertebral fractures or pelvic fractures.

The physiotherapists of the VUmc Trauma Rehabilitation Network work in close cooperation with the multidisciplinary team at VUmc (the trauma surgeon and the hospital physiotherapist). This means that prompt adjustments can be made to the treatment, ensuring that it runs optimally. Patients are referred to our practice from the hospital.
